API ভিত্তিক অনলাইনে বিল পরিশোধ সেবা

বাংলাদেশ পল্লী বিদ্যুতায়ন বোর্ড এর অধীনে ৮০ টি পল্লী বিদ্যুৎ সমিতির মাধ্যমে সারাদেশে প্রায় ৩ কোটি গ্রাহককে বিদ্যুৎ সেবা প্রদান করে আসছে। গ্রাহকসেবার মান উন্নয়নে বাপবিবো নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। মাস শেষে প্রতিটি গ্রাহককে বিদ্যুৎ বিল প্রদান করতে হয়। সাধারণত বিল প্রদানের জন্য নির্দিষ্ট বিলিং অফিস অথবা নির্দিষ্ট কিছু ব্যাংকে স্বশরীরে গিয়ে বিদ্যুৎ বিল প্রদান করা যায়। বিল প্রদানের জন্য নিজের আবাসন থেকে দূরবর্তী অফিসে যাওয়া এবং ঘন্টার পর ঘন্টা লাইনে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকার ফলে গ্রাহককে সীমাহীন দুর্ভোগের সম্মুখীন হতে হতো।

গ্রাহকের দীর্ঘদিনের ভোগান্তি দূর করতে বাপবিবো এর আইসিটি পরিদপ্তর কর্তৃক পোস্টপেইড গ্রাহকদের অনলাইন/ মোবাইল ব্যাংকিং এর মাধ্যমে বিদ্যুৎ বিল আদায়ের সিস্টেম (API ভিত্তিক অনলাইনে বিল পরিশোধ সেবা) বাস্তবায়ন করা হয়েছে । API ভিত্তিক অনলাইনে বিল পরিশোধ সেবা বিষয়টি এখন প্রচলিত ব্যাংকিংয়ের পাশাপাশি বিকল্প চ্যানেল তৈরি করেছে। এই অনলাইন পেমেন্ট গেটওয়ে এর সাথে দেশের স্বনাম ধন্য পেমেন্ট চ্যানেল (বিকাশ, রকেট, জিপি, রবি, ইউক্যাশ, শিওরক্যাশ এবং মাইক্যাশ) সংযুক্ত করার ফলে গ্রাহকগণ ঘরে বসেই অথবা নিকটবর্তী এজেন্ট এর মাধ্যমে লাইনে দাঁড়ানোর ঝামেলা ব্যতীতই বিদ্যুৎ বিল প্রদান করতে পারছেন। এতে যেমন একদিকে গ্রাহকগণের ভোগান্তি কমছে অন্যদিকে বকেয়া আদায়ের ঝামেলাও অনেকাংশে হ্রাস পেয়েছে।

বর্তমানে ১৭ টি সমিতিতে এই সার্ভিস চলমান আছে এবং অদূর ভবিষ্যতে ৮০ টি সমিতিতে একযোগে চালুকরণের কার্যক্রম চলমান রয়েছে। এছাড়াও গ্রাহকের সুবিধার কথা বিবেচনা করে দেশের সুপরিচিত ৭টি পেমেন্ট চ্যানেল সংযুক্ত করা হয়েছে। এর ফলে গ্রাহক তার পছন্দ অনুযায়ী পেমেন্ট চ্যানেল ব্যবহার করে যে কোন মোবাইল থেকে এ্যাপ অথবা USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) কোড ডায়ালের মাধ্যমে বিদ্যুৎ বিল পরিশোধ করতে পারেন।
